
Alexandra Morgan Carrasco (American professional soccer player) plays as striker. She also is captain of San Diego Wave FC of National Women's Soccer League, the highest division of women's soccer in the United States. From 2018 to 2020, she co-captained America's women's national soccer team alongside Megan Rapinoe. [8][99 Morgan was chosen by the Western New York Flash at number one in the 2011 WPS Draft. She had completed her degree from Berkeley earlier. Morgan also played for California Golden Bears. She made her professional debut and was a part of the team's success in winning the league championship. Morgan was just 22 at the time was the youngest athlete in the national squad at the 2011 FIFA Women's World Cup, where the team was runner-up. In the 2012 London Olympics, she scored the winning goal in the 123rd minute in the semi-final against Canada. She was able to finish 2012 with 21 goals and 28 assists and was able to join Mia Hamm as the only American woman who scored 20 goals and provide 20 assists within the same calendar year . she became the sixth and the youngest U.S. player to score 20 goals in one season. After being named U.S. Soccer Female Player of the Year Morgan was also an FIFA World Player of the Award finalist. Morgan contributed to helping the United States win the title at the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cups. Morgan was named to the Dream Team in both tournaments. In 2019, Morgan won the Silver Boot.
